Tracksuit bottoms
Technical training trousers or joggers?
Joggers in cotton or sweatshirt fabric are soft and warm, and fine for a gentle walk or the sofa after a match. For the training itself, trousers in a light synthetic fabric such as polyester, ideally with elastane, are usually better. They dry faster, weigh less and give more stretch when you lunge or sprint. Many people choose both: a pair of technical training trousers for sessions and a pair of soft joggers for the rest of the time.
Fit: straight, slim or cuffed
Training trousers come in three main cuts. Straight legs are airy and easy to pull on over shoes. A slim, tapered cut sits closer around the calf and ankle, so the trousers don't flap or pick up water from wet grass. Cuffs at the ankle keep the trousers in place and are a classic feature of joggers. For running and ball sports, a tapered cut is often the most practical.
Look at the waist too. An elasticated waistband with a drawcord lets you tighten it so the trousers stay up, even with full pockets.

Details that make a difference
Zip pockets keep keys and phone secure while you run. A short zip at the ankle lets you take the trousers off without removing your shoes – a classic among football and handball players who pull off their warm-up trousers just before kick-off. Extra fabric or a gusset in the crotch gives more freedom of movement in deep lunges and jumps.
Length and size
Men's and women's training trousers have different measurements over the hips and thighs, so start with the right style before you look at the size. Measure your waist and inside leg, and compare them with the size guide. The trousers should reach your ankle when you stand without your heel treading on the fabric. If you have long legs, look for styles that come in several leg lengths.
In winter, many people wear tights under their trousers, and during the warm-up others pull their trousers on over their shorts. So there needs to be room for a layer underneath without the trousers feeling tight over the thigh.
How our designs come about
Our designs are created in a collaboration between artificial intelligence and us. We give AI a sport and a mood, get lots of ideas for patterns and colours back and adapt the ones we choose to the cut and the movement. Today you can see the results on our T-shirts. The trousers will come later, and we will let Zilenzo Club members know.
Frequently asked questions
What are the best trousers for training?
Trousers in a light, stretchy, quick-drying fabric with a tapered cut are best for most kinds of training. They give you freedom of movement and don't flap. For relaxed everyday wear, soft cotton joggers make a good addition.
What is the difference between joggers and training trousers?
Joggers are usually made from soft cotton or sweatshirt fabric with cuffs and are often worn for leisure. Training trousers are more often made from a light synthetic fabric that dries quickly and stretches as you move.
Can I buy training trousers from Zilenzo?
Not yet. Our first training trousers are on the way, but we have no date. Join Zilenzo Club to be notified, and take a look at the T-shirts you can buy today.
How long should training trousers be?
They should reach your ankle when you stand, without you treading on them. If in doubt, choose a cut with cuffs or ankle zips, which keep the trousers in place.
How much does shipping cost at Zilenzo, and how does the right of return work?
Zilenzo ships from Denmark, and the shipping cost and delivery time for your country are shown at checkout. If you change your mind, you have 14 days to return the item. You pay the return shipping yourself.
