Women's sportswear: what the shirt has to do

Good women's sportswear follows the body without pulling and without hanging. The shirt must be light, move sweat away from the skin and dry fast, and it must stay in place when you reach for a lob or sprint to the net. That is why every Zilenzo women's shirt is made of lightweight polyester in a women's cut drawn for women, not a smaller men's shirt.

Today our women's sportswear consists of sports T-shirts with a dedicated design for each sport. Shorts, tights, quarter-zip training tops, light training jackets and women's training sets are on the way in the same cut.

Table tennis, badminton and padel: fast duels indoors

Short rallies, low stance and quick arms: the shirt must be light in the shoulders with no loose fabric at the stomach. Indoor halls get warm fast, so bring a second shirt to tournaments. For table tennis, pick a dark or coloured main colour that contrasts clearly with the ball.

Tennis, football and handball: training and match day

Tennis needs freedom across the back and shoulders for the serve. For football and handball training the shirt has to handle rain, artificial turf, resin and frequent washing. Zilenzo does not sell club match kits; we make the training wear you choose yourself. On match day you wear the team's kit with numbers and matching colours as the federations require.

Running: light, close-fitting, no chafing

One rule for running: no loose folds. Loose fabric chafes after many kilometres, so the women's running T-shirt should sit close without restricting the chest when breathing gets deep. In winter it works as a base layer under a light jacket; in summer on its own.

The women's cut and the right size

The women's cut has narrower shoulders, a more defined waist and a sleeve that sits closer at the upper arm, so the shirt follows the body without bagging. Every design comes in XS–XXL.

Measure chest, waist and hips and compare with the size guide on the product rather than guessing from other brands. Between two sizes, the larger gives more air for long sessions; the smaller sits closer and flaps less in fast sports.

Washing and durability

Wash at 30–40 °C without fabric softener, which blocks the fibres and ruins moisture transport. Hang to dry; polyester is dry within a few hours and needs no tumble dryer. Colour and fit then last season after season.
